2010 Meritorious Service Award
The Mohawk-Hudson Section is pleased to announce that Christopher Lesher, P.E., M.ASCE has been chosen as the Section’s Engineer of the Year. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering (structural) from Penn State. He is a senior associate at Ryan Biggs Associates, P.C. located in Clifton Park. Chris has nearly 20 years of experience designing and investigating building structures and observing their construction. Notable structural design projects include The Deborah Clarke Mars Education Center at Fort Ticonderoga, ADK Museum Visitors Center, Albert Wisner Public Library in Warwick, NY, Halfmoon Town Hall, St. Peter's Hospital Pavilion Addition, St. Peter's Hospital Cancer Center, College of St. Rose Lally School, Sarazen Student Union at Siena College, Auburn Memorial Hospital, Saratoga Springs Public Library, Pine Plains High School, Locust Valley Schools, and numerous other educational, medical, cultural, and commercial projects. Chris was selected as Engineer of the Year for all the work he’s done with the Section’s structural technical group (STG), the Model Bridge Competition, and Section’s annual golf outing. Young Engineer of the Year AwardThe Mohawk-Hudson Section is pleased to announce that Andrew Jensen, E.I.T, AM.ASCE has been chosen as the Section’s Young Engineer of the Year. Andy earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology from University of North Carolina, Charlotte, NC in 2007. Andy is an Assistant Engineer/Inspector at CHA, Inc. located at III Winners Circle, Albany. He has over five years of engineering and construction experience providing his services on building construction and site development projects, construction permitting, and construction loan administration. Andy has been involved with numerous civil engineering projects including dam rehabilitations, mine permitting, stormwater pollution prevention planning, design, and industrial SPDES permitting. Andy was selected as Young Engineer of the Year for all his hard work in sucessfully updating the Section’s website. Life MembersLife Membership status is an honor awarded to members that have made a lifetime commitment to the American Society of Civil Engineers and the civil engineering profession by remaining a member for the full length of their professional career.
